Disney World Trip - Day 1

Today was our first day of our Disney World/Thanksgiving trip. We woke up bright and early to drive to the airport in Lubbock (why can't I ever sleep in on my vacations?). Security wasn't too bad so we had plenty of time before our flight. To kill time we amused ourselves with an oversized chess board near our gate, which Will and Abi absolutely loved.

It was Abi's first time on an airplane, so I was a little apprehensive, but she did great. We did have to change her diaper right after boarding our plane in Dallas, even though we had just changed it in the airport. When we arrive in Orlando we took the Disney's Magical Express bus to our resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside. The Sassagoula River wound its way through the path to our room. It turned out to be a lot longer walk than the concierge desk implied, but the scenery was very beautiful.

We finished the day by going to the Magic Kingdom, where we rode a few rides then came home for some nice hot chocolate.

Yeah, some pictures! I just checked here this morning so I'm glad to see some new pictures. We missed you guys in Cruces, but I know you had so much fun over there, I'm jealous!
